Piano Keys

Today is my sister’s birthday… so I’m sharing these piano pictures.  Because she’s the one who took the time to teach me how to play the piano (and put up with a lot of nonsense from me along the way, I’m sure 😉 ).

I have a lot of memories of spending time together with her at the piano.  Her teaching me how to play, yes… but also learning and playing duets together.
Ah… good times.

Happy birthday, sister dear!  You really are the best! 🙂

Into The Cemetery – pt. 2

Below are a few headstones that caught my eye and I just couldn’t resist taking a photo!

This one is the grave of a veteran of the American Civil War– a Confederate Soldier.
He was born March 17, 1839 and died November 19, 1907.

This tombstone caught my eye because it’s shaped like a cradle.
It is the grave of little Albert Harris who was born in July 1900 and died in September 1901.

I didn’t get to see this one up close so I don’t know whose grave it is or how old.
I just happened to notice it as we were about to leave.  I thought the statue looked unique and interesting so I leaned out the window to snap a picture– mostly so I could look it up when I got home to see if I could discover the meaning behind it.

This is the only clue I have been able to find as to the meaning:
Woman hanging onto Cross – Faith. Original drawing accompanied Rev. Toplady’s hymn “Rock of Ages.”
Also seen as woman clinging to pillar or anchor.

2017 Calendar

I decided to go with a monochromatic theme for my calendar this year… And I also decided to not do any quotes or lyrics on the photos this year.

Here’s how it turned out! 🙂

When In Branson – In Parting… Just Some Random Shots (part 2)

These pics are all from back in November.  I just wanted to go ahead and share some pics of this awesome tree that our little boys loved. 😉

When In Branson – Branson Landing (do some shopping)

Since we only went to the Landing in the evening as it was getting dark this time… I only snapped a few quick shots, and I was quite unhappy with the way most of those turned out. :/  So the daylight (color) photos in this post are from our last trip back in November and the nighttime (black & white) ones are from the April trip.

I beg your pardon for the random faceless guy in this photo… I kinda liked this pic, but didn’t want to plaster his face on my blog. 😛
