Piano Keys

Today is my sister’s birthday… so I’m sharing these piano pictures. ย Because she’s the one who took the time to teach me how to play the piano (and put up with a lot of nonsense from me along the way, I’m sure ๐Ÿ˜‰ ).

I have a lot of memories of spending time together with her at the piano. ย Her teaching me how to play, yes… but also learning and playing duets together.
Ah… good times.

Happy birthday, sister dear! ย Youย really are the best! ๐Ÿ™‚

Into The Cemetery – pt. 2

Below are a few headstones that caught my eye and I just couldn’t resist taking a photo!

This one is the graveย of a veteran of the American Civil War– a Confederate Soldier.
He was born March 17, 1839 and died November 19, 1907.

This tombstone caught my eye because it’s shaped like a cradle.
It is the grave of little Albert Harris who was born in July 1900 and died in September 1901.

I didn’t get to see this one up close so I don’t know whose grave it is or how old.
Iย just happened to notice it as we were about to leave. ย I thought the statue looked unique and interesting so I leaned out the window to snap a picture– mostly so I could look it up when I got home to see if I could discover the meaning behind it.

This is the only clue I have been able to find as to the meaning:
Woman hanging onto Cross – Faith. Original drawing accompanied Rev. Topladyโ€™s hymn “Rock of Ages.” ย
Also seen as woman clinging to pillar or anchor.

2017 Calendar

I decided to go with a monochromatic theme for my calendar this year… And I also decided to not do any quotes or lyrics on the photos this year.

Here’s how it turned out! ๐Ÿ™‚
