I know it looks like snow, but it’s not. This is the ice of winter beating spring back with a really big stick. 😦
Tuesday, Feb. 20
The temperature dropped from the 70’s to the 20’s with a real feel of about 10 degrees before the day was half over. The freezing rain started and ice began to accumulate… then the sleet came… and kept coming. It was a fun couple of days. [*whispers* Not really.] 😐
I love the privacy afforded by being surrounded by trees, but sometimes they kinda get in the way of my sunset view.
Even with the trees blocking some it, though, it was still a beautiful view!
The dark roads in your life must be traveled… but they’re always easier when you have a friend by your side.
I thank God for putting friends in my life to encourage me along the way. ❤
Sometimes all you need to make a bad day better is a drive down a country road with the windows down and the music up.
From sunrise to sunset, I must say we had a very lovely Thanksgiving! 🙂
This was my favorite fall morning in 2017. November 14th.
It was almost 60 degrees at 8:00am… it had rained the night before so everything was wet… the air felt so clean and light… and it just smelled like fall!
I have really fallen behind posting here… but let’s get started back up with some photos of one of my favorite places: Lake Eufaula, Oklahoma.
This is one of my happy places. A place I always look forward to visiting.
I rarely see the sun come up in the morning, but when we’re at the lake, I watch the sunrise every day if it’s possible. That is one of the most calming, peaceful, relaxing experiences.
I don’t like to swim in the lake (I’m the swimming pool kind of girl 😛 ), but I do love to sit by the water and listen to the gentle, lapping waves.
Sometimes I read… sometimes I just gaze out at God’s beautiful nature and get lost in my thoughts.
And I’m never quite ready to head home…..
